Reviews and Ratings
The hotel's location is fantastic, just across the road from the cruise terminal and near to the supermarket. The rooms, while dated and basic, offer glimpses of the water and a balcony overlooking the wharf. The service was friendly overall, though a bit pushy about dining at their restaurant. The dining experience was pricey for what was provided. The hotel lacks some modern facilities but makes up for it with stunning views from the room.
The hotel provided stunning views of the bay, although the rooms were a bit dated but clean and comfy. The location was fantastic for exploring the charming town, but the dining experience was overpriced. The service was top-notch with helpful staff accommodating our needs.
Staying at RACT Strahan Village front apartments was a mixed experience. The rooms, although showing their age in terms of decor and some maintenance issues like saggy beds and leaky taps, offered a great view, a cozy veranda, a comfortable bed, and a refreshing shower. However, the service left something to be desired with staff appearing dull, disinterested, and not very friendly, especially after explaining my wife's pregnancy. On the upside, the location was excellent, providing a fabulous view over the harbor and easy access to attractions like the nightly show 'The Ship That Never Was'. Dining was a bit underwhelming, highlighted by busloads of tourists taking over the buffet at Banjo's, but the surrounding view was sensational. Overall, the stay had its ups and downs, offering a mix of charm and challenges.
The hotel room was clean and basic with ample space for our bike gear, although the constant noise from people walking nearby was distracting. The car park view lacked privacy, yet it served our needs for a comfortable stay.
